All of the 898 guest rooms and 100 suites at The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa contain a keen focus on environmental sustainability initiatives. For example, all the carpeting and the full-length glass enclosures for the showers and commodes were all recycled. All the furnishings were sent to a wholesaler to receive a second life along with the old televisions which were replaced with 37" HD flat screens. The old Heavenly Beds® were donated to a relief fund and the new balcony furniture is now 100% recyclable. The Diplomat offers many carbon footprint reduction opportunities.

The Diplomat
The MCAA has obtained a special group rate of $229.00 single or double per night, exclusive of applicable taxes. This room rate is available until Friday, April 6th, 2012, based upon availability.
To make your hotel reservations, please register online by clicking HERE, or call (888) 627-9057. To receive the group rate you must let the reservations agent know you are with the MCAA. For your convenience, check in time is 4:00 pm and checkout time is 12:00 pm.

Cancellations/No-Shows
For reservations made on an individual basis, a credit card may be given to guarantee the guest room reservation. The credit card will not be charged until the guest checks out of the hotel. Cancellation of individual reservations shall be accepted by the Hotel, without penalty, up to 72 hours prior to their arrival date. Any cancellations due to medical emergencies that can be verified shall not be charged a penalty.
Travel/Ground Transportation
- By Air:
The resort is easily reached by flying into one of the two major international airports nearby. The Diplomat is just 30 minutes by car north of Miami International (MIA) and a short 15-minute drive south from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
All major domestic and international airlines serve Miami International, whereas most domestic and a few select international carriers fly into Fort Lauderdale. Car rentals with many major companies can be conveniently arranged from both airports, and taxi service is just as easily accessed.
- By Taxi:
Follow signs in either airport for ground transportation and taxi service. Fares range from $60 to $80 one way to/from Miami International and from $25 to $35 one way to/from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.
- Parking:
Self-parking at the Westin Diplomat is available for a discounted rate of $12 per day and Valet is available for $17.
Weather & Attire
During the day the average temperature in Hollywood is in the mid to high 80’s and the evening average is in the high 60’s.
Casual resort attire is appropriate for all locations in the area and most MCAA meeting functions. Special exceptions for our 25th Anniversary Convention include:
